Care and Use

How do I connect everything together?

It's pretty simple, but with cables, boxes, and toys scattered around it can be strange at first -- but the rewards are worth it!

  1. Remember the basic electric circuit? Current needs a path to enter and exit the load, which in this case is some part of your body.
  2. Each e-stim device (or toy) has either one or two connections used to connect it to a power source. You will need a total of 2 connections for every channel you are using.
  3. Some devices are single (or "mono") polar, meaning they have 1 connection. These devices need another single or monopole device to complete a circuit.
  4. Other devices are double (or "bi") polar, meaning they have 2 connections. These devices will take up one channel all by themselves.
  5. Since each output channel has two wires (enter and exit), connect 2 single pole devices or 1 double pole device to each channel.

To start, make sure that the power unit is OFF and that you are ready to insert or apply the electrode toys using the instructions accompanying each. Once the leadwires are properly attached to the electrodes, test the operation of the pair (or single device, if it is a dual/bipolar model) using a single hand while turning on the power unit and slowly increasing the output of the channel being used. A slight tingling should be felt in time to the pulses being sent, and the LEDs on the front panel. If you feel a tingle, you've correctly wired your first pair. Continue by applying or inserting the electrode(s) according to the instructions accompanying each unit.

How do I clean my toys?

Most e-stim devices are made to be either worn on or inside the body, and therefore can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water, rinsed well, and allowed to dry before putting away.

Our FlexProbe is easily cleaned under a running tap with the addition of antibacterial soap (like SoftSoap) and if desired, a splash of isopropyl alcohol afterwards. The rubber shaft is made from a non-latex material which is impervious to solvents, detergents, and oxygen deterioration.

ElectroBands are also easily cleaned -- just rinse under the faucet and wring between a towel after each use. The elastic material in these bands is designed to last about 1 year or more with normal use, as long as they are not subjected to very hot water or strong solvents.

The ECup and Neoprene Jock are soap and water washable. The outer covering is treated to resist water damage.

The ET312B requires no maintenance other than routine battery charging and cleaning of the case, knobs, and front panel. Cleaning can be done using a soft cloth, slightly moistened to pick up any dirt or lube that may have accumulated on its knobs or front panel. Avoid using a dry cloth on the front panel, as this may cause scratches.

Portable ErosTek power units, including the ET302R and ET232 should be stored with their batteries removed, in a dry area to prevent moisture buildup and damage.
